COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police have a suspect in custody for a shooting in the Linden area that left a man dead over the weekend.
Investigators say officers responded to a report of shots fired along Cleveland Avenue just before 9PM Saturday, where a victim was found in a parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.
Medics took that victim to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Witnesses say the victim and suspect got into a fight, leading up to the shooting. The suspect was later identified as 41-year-old Deshaun Cunningham. He was arrested and charged with murder.
Police have not yet identified the victim, pending notification of next of kin. It is Columbus's 113th homicide of 2020.
