Voters Who Received Incorrect Absentee Ballot to get Correct One

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Franklin County Board of Elections says any voter that received an incorrect ballot will be notified of that, and will be issued a correct one.

Officials add that redundancies are in place to ensure that only one ballot will be counted per voter.

The Ohio Secretary of State is assisting local elections officials in the solution. Voters who do not wish to wait on a new ballot can vote in-person at the BOE offices on Morse Road.

Voters reported receiving ballots for the wrong precinct across the county, which elections official blamed on a malfunction of a machine that proofs the ballots for accuracy.

The Franklin County BOE has not yet determined exactly how many ballots it affected.
