Dublin City Schools to Return K-8 Students to Classroom Full-Time

DUBLIN, Ohio (WTVN)--The Dublin City School district will have students in grades K-8 return to the classroom full-time, beginning next month.

The school board voted Tuesday to approve the transition, which is set to take place on November 2nd. Board members took feedback both for and against the idea before making their decision.

Some parents pointed out that the district has some of the state's highest COVID-19 numbers, with 26 students and staff members infected in the last week, and more than 100 are quarantining, as of early Wednesday.

Dr. Todd Hoadley says the District is ready with extra custodians, hand sanitizer stations in every classroom, and additional safety protocols to protect students and staff.

The Board will meet again on October 26th to consider when to begin transitioning grades nine through 12 from hybrid to full-time.
