Ohio Surpasses 200,000 Coronavirus Cases

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--With the Ohio Department of Health reported another 2,100+ cases on Monday, the state has now passed 200,000 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19.

Monday's number bring the total to 200,231. The 21-day average for new cases is also just above 1,900.

Another 11 deaths were reported Monday as well, bringing that total to just over 5,200.

Over a ten-day period, ending last week, the state of Ohio reported a record number of new cases for eight days.

Governor Mike Dewine is expected to hold another press conference Tuesday afternoon, and has spent the past couple of pressers warning about the increasing cases.
