COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Columbus Blue Jackets have a plan to safely allow a limited number of fans to attend their home games at Nationwide Arena.
Team officials announced Thursday they worked with Columbus Public Health on the proposal, to allow 10% capacity of the arena, which amounts to just under 2,000 fans.
Assigned seating, social distancing, and mask wearing would be required by fans permitted to attend.
The plan still needs approval from the Ohio Department of Health. When that happens, team officials say it will take about a week to prepare the arena for fans.
The CBJ have 21 home games left on their 2021 NHL regular-season schedule.
