CCS Students in Grades 6-12 to Return to Class, in Blended Learning

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--For the first time in about a year, students in all grades in the Columbus City School district will be returning to the classroom.

The district unveiled plans Thursday to return students in grades 6 through 12 to class in a blended learning model, beginning next month.

Grades 6, 11 and 12 will be on the plan beginning March 15th, and grades 7 through 10 begin the plan on March 22nd.

Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon says transportation issues kept the rest of the district from returning to class in person, with CCS also responsible for busing charter non-public school students.

The plan also includes COTA bus passes for high school students to take public transportation to internships, extra-curricular activities, and school.

The district returned students in grades pre-K through 5 to clas,s under the similar blended learning model, earlier this month.
