COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--One of the most popular players for the Columbus Blue Jackets has been traded.

The team announced Sunday that Captain Nick Foligno was dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs, in exchange for two draft picks.

The deal was part of a series of trades for the CBJ, ahead of the NHL trade deadline, which is Monday at 3PM. The Jackets also dealt defenseman David Savard to the Tampa Bay Lightning, getting a 1st-round draft pick in 2021, and a 3rd-round draft pick in 2022 in return.
