OhioHealth Updates Visitor Policy

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--With the recent surge of COVID-19, OhioHealth is reinstituting stricter policies regarding visitors for patients at their hospital facilities.

Effective Tuesday, August 31st at midnight, each patient will be allowed to have one designated visitor. Those visitors must also wear a mask, pass a screening, and be asymptomatic for COVID-19.

Patients receiving emergency care, surgery, or invasive procedures are also allowed to have one visitor.

There are some exceptions for the rule, like for end-of-life care, and for patients under age 18.

Visitors and vendors at OhioHealth facilities are also required to wear a mask, which will be provided to them.
