UNDATED, (WTVN)--The Ohio State Buckeyes are on the outside looking in in the 1st College Football Playoff rankings of the season.
The 1st poll released Tuesday has Ohio State #5, with the top four playing for the National Championship at season's end. The University of Cincinnati, who is still undefeated, is number-6.
Georgia is in the top spot, followed by Alabama, Michigan State, and Oregon, who beat the buckeyes in Columbus on September 11th.
Ohio State plays the Spartans in Columbus in November 20th. Michigan State is still unbeaten, following their come-from-behind win over Michigan on Saturday.
The Buckeyes play Nebraska in Lincoln this Saturday.
