City Issues Injunction Against East-Side Apartment Manager

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--An apartment complex on the city's east side, that's been the subject of dozens of code violations and thousands of police calls, is now the subject of a preliminary injunction.

City Attorney Zach Klein issued the order Wednesday against the owners and managers of the Latitude Five25. Lawyers say the calls include unsanitary conditions, insect infestations, and failed request for maintenance.

The order also asks the property owners to provide 24-7 security on the premises. Maintenance requests also must be responded to within 24 hours.

Klein says, "Residents of Latitude Five25 have suffered for too long. That’s why we’re taking aggressive action to target violent crime and ensure safety and sanitary conditions to improve the quality of life for every resident.”
