COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Police are looking for the suspect in the murder of a barber, at a shop on Columbus's northeast side from Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators say the suspect walked into the shop on North Meadows Boulevard around noon. Witnesses heard gunshots, and the suspect ran from the scene. Medics responded, but the victim died at the scene.
Family identified the victim as 51-year-old Lawrence Jefferson. Police do not yet have a motive for the incident, and another barber working in the shop at the time was not injured.
It is Columbus's 37th homicide in 2022, and the 6th across Columbus in the last five days.
