GROVEPORT, Ohio (WTVN)--One person died, and a suspect was initially taken into custody from a shooting early Monday morning at a logistics facility near Rickenbacker Airport. That suspect has also died.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, responded to the scene at the S&K facility along Toy Road, just off of Alum Creek Drive, just after 5AM.
Police received multiple calls of a shooting, and workers were evacuated from multiple facilities, so officers could clear the scene. One victim was taken to Grant Medical Center, in critical condition. That victim has passed.
Sheriff Dallas Baldwin tells ABC-6 the suspect was initially taken into custody, and was found off the site of the facility. The sheriff's office later confirmed that the suspect has died.
There was a nearby incident where a man was electrocuted after trying to climb a utility pole along Alum Creek Drive, and bystanders alerted police to that incident.
Baldwin says the investigation is still ongoing, but believes it may be related to the shooting.
