COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A woman was arrested over the weekend, for chaining herself to the railing of a staircase in the Ohio Statehouse, during a protest.
33-year-old Erin Woods was part of a group protesting the US Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, and committed the act Saturday afternoon.
She entered a restricted area and refused to undo the restraint herself, and was taken into custody.
Woods posted bond following her arrest, and has another court appearance on Tuesday. She was charged with criminal trespassing, a 4th-degree misdemeanor.
There were no other arrests at Saturday's demonstration, which was on the west lawn of the Ohio Statehouse.
