Former President Donald Trump's private Boeing 757 plane reportedly clipped another airplane upon returning to Palm Beach International Airport Sunday (May 12) morning, WFLA reports.
The plane, dubbed 'Trump Force One,' landed just after 1:00 a.m. local time and was taxiing on the tarmac before its winglet struck the rear elevator of a VistaJet parked at the airport.
“A privately owned Boeing 757 landed safely at West Palm Beach International Airport around 1:20 a.m. local time on Sunday, May 12,” an FAA spokesperson told the outlet, though not identifying the owner of the plane, following an alert reporting that the plane that struck the other aircraft had a registration number N757AF, which was linked to DJT Operations I LLC.
No injuries were reported and it's unclear whether Trump was onboard during the accident. The accident took place hours after the former president appeared at a campaign rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday (May 11), which was also attended by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, a reported potential running mate option, and his wife, Kathryn. The customized plane, which was built in 1991, was recently refurbished with white leather seats and paneled walls and features a large television, gold-plated accents, two private guestrooms, three bathrooms, dining and conference areas and an entertainment system, according to the New York Post, which was present on the aircraft during Trump's flight to New Jersey on Saturday.
