A former WWE couple has renewed their wedding vows after separating in 2023.
Miroslav Barnyashev, who wrestled in WWE as 'Rusev' and All Elite Wrestling as Miro, and CJ Perry, who served as his valet and wrestled in WWE as 'Lana,' as well as working under her real name in AEW, confirmed they recently held a small ceremony at a church in Los Angeles in a statement to TMZ Sports on Tuesday (March 11). The couple said they began talking again in 2024 when Barnyashev returned to the U.S. from his native Bulgaria and slowly rekindled their relationship in the following months, which included Perry, a Florida native who spent part of her childhood in the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic, spending the Christmas holiday in her husband's home country.
Barnyashev and Perry, both 39, are reported to be living together once again, splitting time between Bulgaria and Los Angeles. The couple had originally announced their engagement to TMZ, which happened to coincided with their on-screen characters' split, in October 2015 and were married in July 2016, but filed for divorce last July.
The divorce filing came after Perry was released from her AEW contract in April 2024, while Barnyashev's contract with the company was reported to have expired at some point earlier this year. The couple initially got together after they were paired as an on-screen duo in WWE's developmental program in 2013, having made their first main roster appearance together in 2015.
