Elizabeth McCormick, President Uniglobe Travel Designers

A Wellington School graduate, Elizabeth Blount McCormick went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, graduating with honors from Spelman College in 2000. Elizabeth then launched a career in corporate retail management, working for brands such as Gap, Inc. and Edun. In 2006, she returned to Columbus, where she joined her mother at Uniglobe Travel Designers. In 2012, she became president of the company. Her experiences in retail provided Elizabeth with extensive experience traveling throughout the United States, Mexico and South America, as well as to Tunisia, India, Portugal and Peru. Elizabeth’s efforts to bring in new accounts has helped the company more than triple its revenue and expand the team.

During her time with Uniglobe Travel Designers, Elizabeth has received many accolades including being named a 2016 NAWBO Visionary finalist in Columbus, named 2016 Forty Under 40 Honoree by Columbus Business First, awarded the 2016 SBA Minority Small Business of the Year award from the U.S. Small Business Administration-Columbus District office, awarded the Smart 50 Award by Smart Business Columbus magazine in 2015, awarded the Family Business Reinvention Award by The Conway Center for Family Business in 2015, and many more. She has also been honored with various article mentions and podcast invitations as a travel expert and leader. More can be found here

Elizabeth volunteers her time to many local organizations, including the Mansion Day School board, Young President’s Organization (YPO) Columbus Chapter, Alvis Board, International Women’s Forum – Columbus Chapter and National Association of Women’s Business Owners-Columbus. In addition, she is a member of the Ohio Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce board.
