Tim Tebow hit a home run last night (April 6th) in his first official at-bat as a New York Mets minor league player, launching a two-run homer for the Columbia Fireflies in a Class A South Atlantic League game against Augusta. The 29-year-old former quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner is attempting a baseball career after his three seasons in the NFL and a broadcasting stint. He'd previously last played the sport in high school.
