Four more boys were rescued from a flooded cave in Thailand on Monday (July 9th), after four others had been extracted a day earlier. That leaves four more members of the youth soccer team that got trapped in the cave more than two weeks ago still inside awaiting extraction, along with their coach. The rescue leader said Tuesday that the mission to take out the final five was underway. Divers, some of them from around the world, celebrated yesterday being able to guide another four boys through the tight passages and flooded caverns to the outside, even though the boys could barely swim and had no diving experience. The eight boys were recuperating in a hospital, with doctors keeping an eye out for possible infection.
