The world got its first look Wednesday (July 11th) at the 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach after they were freed from a cave in Thailand in three dangerous and complicated extractions over three days on Sunday, Monday Tuesday by Thai Navy SEALs and expert divers from other nations. The boys were seen in hospital beds wearing surgical masks in an isolation ward where they are recovering from their 18-day ordeal, which began when they got stranded by flooding while exploring the cave. Family members were able to see the boys yesterday and communicate with them through the glass. Doctors said they will need to be monitored in the hospital for a week and then rest at home for another month. Three of the boys have slight lung infections.
