Muddy geyser swallows house

Mother Nature doesn't care where your house is. A New Zealand family was forced to flee their home after a muddy geyser started swallowing the property. Home owner Susan Gedye says she woke up Tuesday morning (June 25th) at her home in Rotorua to what she initially thought was an earthquake, and that's when she looked out her kitchen window and spotted the geyser. She and her family abandoned their home as a precaution, and the geyser continued to grow. The Rotoura Lakes Council warned of a "ground collapse" in the area, and by Thursday (June 27th) the geyser had grown so large that it started to engulf Gedye's garage. Inspectors reported "slightly more ground collapse on the property" on Friday morning.

Of course, this kind of thing has happened before...
