Fed Ex cup playoffs +central Ohio's Bo Hoag wins

Incredible moves in the Fedex Cup rankings after the Northern Trust. Patrick Reed wins and moves from 50th place to #2... Abraham Ancer jumped 59 spots to #8... and John Rahm bumped up 5 to #5. The other big mover was Harold Varner III. He vaulted from 102 to 29. Reed looked smooth during the tournament

Meanwhile on the Korn Ferry Tour, former Ohio State standout Bo Hoag notched a win in Portland and landed a PGA Tour card for next year. From OhioStateBuckeyes.com... Bo Hoag is a four-year letter winner for the men’s golf team. The Upper Arlington, Ohio, product has been a mainstay on the Ohio State team since his freshman season. He is a two-time first team All-Big Ten selection coming in 2009 and 2011 and earned second team All-Big Ten in 2008 as a freshman. In 2009, Hoag was a PING All-America Honorable Mention and Midwest Region honoree. He has led the Buckeye squad in stroke average in three of his four years with his best coming this season with a 72.46. Hoag is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete. He nabbed one of the top three shots of the tournament...

Of course the Korn Ferry Tour comes to to town this week... Scarlet GC will feature the start of the finals. Players will be playing hard to get to the PGA Tour and keep their status on their current tour. last year's winner Robert Streb joins me at 7:13a this morning and we'll talk tournament, Scarlet, and his chances of getting back on the big tour (he finished ranked 128 and the top 125 keep their tour card).
