Gymnast Simone Biles, who won four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, including the all-around title, won her sixth U.S. national title on Sunday (August 11th). The 22-year-old Biles won the floor exercise, vault and beam and came in third on the uneven bars during the weekend's U.S. championships, and landed two moves that no other woman had ever completed in competition. The first was on Friday, when she made a double-twisting, double-somersault -- a "double-double" -- dismount off the balance beam, and the other was yesterday, when she landed a triple-twisting double-flip -- a "triple-double" -- during her floor exercise, a move she didn't need to do to win the championship. Biles' overall competition total score of 118.500 was nearly five points ahead of second-place finisher Sunisa Lee and almost seven points ahead of Grace McCallum in third place.
