Threat of Shoplifter With Gun Prompts OSU Safety Alert

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Students at The Ohio State University received a public safety alert over the weekend, following a shoplifting incident at a store on North High Street.

Police say a suspect was confronted for shoplifting at the Target store on Saturday, with the suspect implying he had a gun.

No weapon was seen, but security allowed the man to leave the store.

The suspect is described as a black male between 45 and 55-years-old wearing a puffy black coat and a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap.
