Trump kicks off Daytona 500

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took a lap around the Daytona International Speedway track in the presidential limo, known affectionately as “the Beast.” The main event came to a screeching halt, though, due to rain. NASCAR's Great American Race has been rescheduled to 4 p.m. today. Nonetheless, President Trump became only the second president, after George W. Bush, to deliver the famous lines that kick off the race:

President Trump started the race by saying, “Daytona International Speedway, we love our country and it’s truly an honor to be with all of you at the Great American Race. Gentlemen, start your engines!”
